IF THEY SHUT DOWN ALL THE ISIS WEB SITES DOESN'T THAT LIMIT INTEL?

The fact is the Web Sites we shut down are the Media machine not the actual First reporting sources. (i.e. the NOT the Actual Bad Guys) ISIS hunters and almost more so, normal everyday people report stuff to various Anonymous groups, to me (since 2007)  and some contact Gov Orgs and Host directly. People like me and many of the Anon groups notify FBI, IC3, and/or CIA or which ever of the Gov Org or Laws the web user or web site has broken.

It is not the voice of the terrorist that we seek hide from or put our heads in the Sand and ask "please make the bad man go away".

Instead when we have humans who report potential ISIS web sites and those are reviewed. Some are monitored others are sut down ASAP.  If you see something I would be happy to look at it and let you know what I think it actually is. Often I have been amazed at things people have asked me to help with. in 2007/08 I was contacted 8 different times 8 different users about 8 fake Mil IDs on  Yahoo that were saying very abusive stuff to military families. So the military families contacted me they pointed out the flaws the person made mistakes that a Lt. Col. would not have, (like in one Case).

The Web sites we seek to shut down as soon as we can are the Gore web sites beheadings etc. These are pure Propaganda and the terrorist do it to provoke a reaction from the West. The Bad Guys are hoping the West will overreach and get a backlash. That will assist the Bad guys with a whole new group of people who become more disenfranchised by any overreach reaction.

This is a true online battle for hearts and minds. So far the enemy is winning. ISIS is a Sunni Arab Wahhabi Supremacist
movement the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda also follow the Wahhabi warped view of the Quran that you hear the islamophobia quoting.  We want to stop the Echo effect and the spread of the message. We have a few methods we can use. But it has to be done in a lawful way.
 CIA Jobs - Operations Officer

The web sites we shut down. We do not shut down a suspected ISI or al Qaeda members sites (i.e., actual Bad guys web sites). People like me, Anonymous, and many Government Orgs monitor known ISIS and al Qaeda Web Sites.

However the ones that are Just Wannabe ISIS or just repeaters/bots that reTweet it to their many followers, are the ones we seek to shut down often and ASAP, to limit the audience of the terrorist's message. These Web Sites are often Masked as News sites. That way they can claim "Freedom of Speech". Ask them if you get a chance do the people in Raqqa have :Freedom of Speech". We know n fastest is the followers. who
the main Bad Guys are on Twitter. We also know Twitter is their main tool in their online propaganda machine. Many of the web sites are just Bot Accounts, that reTweet what the main accounts Tweet.

Some countries have Sedition Laws. Most Countries have had Sedition laws in one form or another, most often in times of War.

Journalist sentenced to prison for insulting Erdoğan

Mine Bekiroğlu, a 28-year-old local journalist from Adana
was sentenced to a five-month prison sentence
journalist in southern Turkey has been sentenced to a five-month suspended prison sentence, while the houses of two more journalists from the same city have been raided by police, all for “insulting” President Recep Tayyip Erdoğanon their social media accounts.

Mine Bekiroğlu, a 28-year-old local journalist from Adana, was sentenced to a five-month prison sentence by Adana 6th Criminal Court of First Instance on March 19, Doğan News Agency reported.

The cybercrime unit of the police detained Bekiroğlu and confiscated her computer to investigate her Facebook messages. Ignoring the defense of Bekiroğlu, who said her messages were “critical but not insulting,” the court sentenced her to prison during the first trial session, but suspended the ruling. The sentence will be executed if Bekiroğlu repeats the crime.

Meanwhile, the police raided the houses of  Abdullah Özyurt, a Cihan News Agency correspondent in Adana, and Aytekin Gezici, a former journalist who now works at Seyhan Municipality, early March 19, according to the Çukurova Journalists Association.

“I don’t think that there is any insult in the messages I shared on social media. I expressed my views, and I did not name anyone in my criticism,” Özyurt said.

Gezici, on the other hand, claimed that the police raid was “illegal” and that he was not notified of its reason. “I did not insult anyone. In this country, there are people who are being investigated for sharing the Hadith [quotes from Prophet Muhammad],” he said.

The two journalists, who were not detained, have been called to testify at the Adana Police Department.

    ‘Big Boss’ in the spotlight
In a separate incident, journalist Mustafa Hoş testified to a prosecutor in Istanbul on March 18 on suspicions that he insulted Erdoğan in his book, titled “Big Boss.”

“I am a journalist. I wrote this book in the scope of the freedom of the press. I have no intention of insulting anyone. A public official’s threshold of tolerance for criticism should be above other people. The rulings of the European Court of Human Rights are in this direction,” Hoş told the prosecutor, according to Doğan News Agency.

Legal procedures against Hoş were launched after Erdoğan’s lawyer Ahmet Özel filed a criminal complaint to the Istanbul Prosecutor’s Office on March 9, claiming that his client’s personal rights had been attacked in the book “Big Boss.”

More than 70 people in Turkey have been prosecuted for “insulting” Erdoğan since he was elected to office in August 2014. Daily Cumhuriyet’s editor-in-chief, Can Dündar, testified in Istanbul on Feb. 26 over allegations that he insulted the head of state during an interview with a prosecutor that had been investigating corruption, describing the process as a “kind of deterrence policy.”

    From Miss Turkey to children
Beside journalists, there are many other people from all professions, including a former Miss Turkey, as well as children, who are being prosecuted for insulting Erdoğan. The Turkish president, through his lawyers, is involved in many of the cases as a plaintiff.

Most recently, Erdoğan was involved in the prosecution of 11 high school students in the western province of Izmir, who were accused of insulting him during a commemoration ceremony for Berkin Elvan, the youngest victim of the Gezi Park protests in 2013. He also filed a criminal complaint against two adults who were present at the same event. All 13 suspects are on trial, with two prosecutors conducting the investigation requesting that the defendents be sentenced to between one and three years in jail.

TURKISH COURT ORDERED CLOSURE OF ALL WEBSITES THAT PUBLISHED REVELATIONS ABOUT A CASE INVOLVING ILLEGAL ARMS SHIPMENTS BY TURKISH SPY AGENCY TO OPPOSITION GROUPS IN SYRIA, INCLUDING AL-QAEDA

Gotta love Turkey’s stance on free speech: You can only say something if it doesn’t make the government look bad. Otherwise they will just block the internet and take down your website:
TODAY’S ZAMAN – Twitter and Facebook as well as many other websites face closure after anonymous accounts published new revelations about a case involving illegal arms shipments by Turkish spy agency to opposition groups in Syria, including al-Qaeda.
Documents were leaked on Twitter on Monday night by an anonymous Twitter user ‘LazepeM’ who claimed that the information came from General Staff and Gendarmerie investigations into the incident in which three Syria-bound trucks operated by the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) were halted in Turkey’s southern province Adana’s Ceyhan district province on Jan.19, 2014.
A Turkish court ordered the closure of all websites which published the proceedings, including social media networks Facebook and Twitter. However, media reports said, since Twitter has already suspended access to the account ‘LazepeM’ from Turkey, the ban may not be applied on Twitter globally.
Reports suggested that Turkish authorities are now waiting for the websites in question to delete content related to the proceedings. They will reportedly be closed down if they refuse to delete the content in question.
    Erdoğan personally authorized arms shipment
The leaked military documents showed that the arms transport by three trucks was personally authorized by then prime minister and now President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
According to one document, then Adana Governor Hüseyin Avni Coş rushed to the scene when prosecutor Aziz Takçı ordered gendarmerie units to search and seize the three trucks, which were full of arms and ammunitions. The governor was quoted saying, “the trucks were moving under the orders of the Prime Minister [Erdoğan] and he would never allow any interference into these trucks, even if that costs him his life.”
Governor Coş also said Erdoğan told him that the government would push a new law through Parliament that would allow MİT to carry arms legally. Shortly after the raids on the trucks, the government-endorsed bill cleared Parliament, granting MİT staff broader immunities from legal prosecution and allowed clandestine activities to be conducted by the agency.
Another document indicated that Adana police chief Cengiz Zeybekçi, under orders from the governor, also came to the scene with more than 400 riot police and interfered into the work of Gendarmerie units who were conducting the search of the trucks under the order of the local prosecutor who was at the scene.
Back then, Erdoğan described the search of the trucks as “treason” and claimed that they were only transporting humanitarian aid to Turkmens in Syria. He also said that Syria-bound weapons did not originate from Turkey.

At this point I think everyone knows that Erdogan hates Assad and wants his Syrian government to fall. Which is why I think Turkey was so quick to put the kibosh on the leaks because it’s so believable that he would ship arms illegally to Syria. After all, Assad isn’t going to fall by himself.

ISIS claims they captured Gill Rosenberg the girl from Israel who went to fight with the YPG

"Guys, I'm totally safe and secure. I don't have Internet access or any communication devices with me for my safety and security. I can't reply regularly and only happened to have a chance to log in and see these buklshit news stories. Ignore the reports I've been captured. Yalla, Acharai!"
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
She has set up a crowd funding site to raise $5,000
Actually if you want to go fight with Peshmerga / YPG / Kurds you are suppose to bring $5,000 with you.
But $5,000 does not go far even in Kurdistan. Bullet proof vests and gear is no doubt very expensive. More money = safety.

I saw a lot of ISIS followers posting crap and gore at her facebook page at this link here

Many web services will often review not only the picture or text post or comment, they often review the users behavior and activities and they may choose to totally delete the members account. Wow score one for the good guys. I know it seems like you are many miles from the battle front. But the truth is while we may control the airspace, the enemy controls the airwaves. In other words the enemy is winning in the war of propaganda.
